“Life can feel overwhelming at times, but together my clients and I combine their lived wisdom with my clinical tools to support ongoing healing, growth, and recovery.”
—Lydia Felker, LMHCA
Lydia offers both in-person and online therapy in Washington.
Lydia Felker is a compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate who works with children, adolescents, and adults, with a particular focus on trauma, anxiety, and relational patterns. She earned her Master’s degree in Applied Child and Adolescent Psychology from the University of Washington and brings a developmentally informed, trauma‑responsive lens to every client relationship.
Since graduating, Lydia has continued to work closely with children and their caregivers, supporting families as they navigate big emotions, reduce conflict, and develop healthier patterns of responding to distress. Alongside her work with youth, she also supports adults who are managing the lasting impact of trauma, chronic anxiety, and relationship difficulties shaped by earlier experiences.
Lydia is trained in EMDR and works from a trauma‑informed framework to help clients process and heal from unresolved experiences. She supports people in identifying patterns they feel stuck in, understanding how those patterns formed, and learning practical skills to navigate anxiety, emotional reactivity, and relationship challenges with greater clarity and self‑compassion. Her approach integrates insight, nervous system awareness, and concrete tools to support meaningful, sustainable change.
At the core of Lydia’s work is the belief that clients are the experts in their own lives. She strives to meet each person where they are, offering a calm, collaborative environment grounded in curiosity, safety, and respect.
Outside the therapy room, Lydia values connection, balance, and joy. She loves spending time in the mountains, reading a good book, and enjoying a warm cup of coffee. She brings this same grounded, authentic presence into her therapeutic work, creating a space where clients feel supported and empowered in their healing.
Lydia earned her Master’s degree in Applied Child and Adolescent Psychology from the University of Washington, and is currently working towards full licensure. Lydia is an EMDR Certified practitioner. At OptimalLife Wellness Center, Lydia’s work is supervised by Deb Sommer, MA, LMHC, and Lara Symonds, MA, LMFT, DCEP.
