About Brenda
Brenda Ramirez, LMFTA
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Associate at OptimalLife Wellness Center
Brenda Ramirez is a bilingual English- and Spanish-speaking Marriage and Family Therapy Associate dedicated to creating a warm, collaborative, and culturally responsive space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported. She believes healing occurs through meaningful relationships and strives to create an environment where individuals, couples, and families can explore challenges with curiosity, compassion, and hope.
Brenda earned her Bachelor of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Seattle Pacific University and her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University. Throughout her clinical training, she has worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in both school-based and outpatient settings. As the daughter of immigrant parents, Brenda understands the importance of honoring culture, family values, and lived experiences in the therapeutic process. She is passionate about expanding access to culturally responsive mental health care for Spanish-speaking individuals, families, and underserved communities.
Brenda’s therapeutic approach is relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in systemic thinking. She draws from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment theory, family systems, play-based interventions, and strength-based practices to support clients navigating anxiety, life transitions, family conflict, relationship challenges, emotional regulation, and identity development. She believes that meaningful change happens when clients feel emotionally safe, understood, and empowered to build on their existing strengths.
Brenda especially enjoys working with children, adolescents, young adults, couples, and families. She values collaborating with caregivers and recognizes that supporting the family system can create lasting change for everyone involved. Whether helping a child develop emotional regulation skills, supporting teens through life’s transitions, or strengthening communication within relationships, Brenda strives to meet each client where they are with warmth, authenticity, and respect.
Brenda believes therapy is not about having all the answers but about working collaboratively to discover new perspectives, strengthen relationships, and foster resilience. She is committed to creating an inclusive, affirming space where clients can feel empowered to grow and move toward the life they envision.
Outside of the therapy room, Brenda enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new restaurants and coffee shops, traveling, attending sporting events, and giving back to her community.
